GREEN finance expert, Jack Clancy, is teaming up with a climate change activist group in a bid to raise awareness of ethical investments.
Jack, a chartered financial planner with Path Financial, will be giving an educational talk on eco-friendly pensions and investments as part of the Totnes Climate Hub’s involvement in the Great Big Green Week 2022.
The session will take place at Totes Methodist Church, Fore Street on Tuesday October 4 from 7pm to 8pm.
Jack will also hold regular, free, one-to-one money advice drop-in sessions at the hub’s base in The Mansion, Fore Street, every third Friday of the month between 11am and 3pm.
“Most people aren’t aware that greening your finances can be twenty-one times more impactful than giving up flying, going veggie and switching energy provider combined,” Jack said.
“Sifting through financial planning jargon and avoiding the greenwash pitfalls is complex, so guidance on how to navigate this and make sure your money is working for you and the planet is key.
“I’m excited to be involved with the Totnes Climate Hub and to be part of Totnes’ ongoing environmental community action. I hope to see as many people there as possible so people can discover how greening their finances can have a positive impact on both their pocket and the planet.”
Jack added: “Head down to the Totnes Climate Hub to find out how to be more sustainable, environmentally friendly and how we, in Devon, can help in the fight against climate change. It’s a great cause and one worth supporting.”
