In this week’s Totnes Times we lead on a story about Prime Minister Theresa May calling on Conservative Party activists not to deselect MPs over differences on Brexit.
This comment came just days after a petition calling for Dr Sarah Wollaston’s deselection was passed to constituency branch chairman on Monday afternoon last week.
We also have district and county councillors’ reactions to Dr Wollaston’s resignation inside.
Our picture story is of Year 5 and 6 pupils from St Mary’s in Buckfast placing among the highest in the UK and being congratulated on their academic performance.
Also inside is a story about a new free service launching in the South Hams for people who want to break their addictive patterns or behaviour.
We also have a story about a town councillor who is calling on young people, creative people and people with ideas to consider putting themselves forward and joining the town council.
As always, we feature information about ’What’s On’, around the clubs, and ’Village Voices’ all inside.
