Misty James from Aveton Gifford and her mother Amanda from East Allington have successfully completed their skydive in memory of Amanda’s partner Simon who died of pancreatic cancer.
Tragically Simon died on January 23 just 20 days after his diagnosis.
Amanda said: “We were both quite nervous about the dive but it was fantastic with amazing views.”
The pair have raised £6,240 for Pancreatic Cancer UK and say they are already planning their next challenge.
It was organised by Skydive Buzz which flies from near Honiton.
According to the NHS website:
Pancreatic cancer is a cancer that's found anywhere in the pancreas.
The pancreas is an organ in the top part of your tummy.
It helps you digest your food and makes hormones, such as insulin.
How serious pancreatic cancer is depends on where it is in the pancreas, how big it is, if it has spread and your general health.
