Police in Totnes are asking the public for help in identifying the culprit(s) behind a spate of graffiti vandalism in the area.
Several incidents have been reported over the past few weeks, and photos released by the police appear to show at least three similar tags on a door, window sill and a traffic sign.
Police Sergeant Neil Powers said the graffiti was impacting “on the lovely surroundings we are lucky enough to have in Totnes”.
He said: “I’d like to urge any witnesses or anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward. Together, we can identify the individuals responsible and prevent further occurrences of graffiti in the areas that make our town so special.”
Anyone found guilty of graffiti can face up to six months in prison, an unlimited fine, or both.
Any witness with information can report it online via the website or by calling 101 and quoting 50240128537.
Alternatively, crimes can be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers UK on 0800 555111.
