Congratulations to the Dartmouth Regatta committee for being brave this year and giving us a truly right royal rowing regatta to be proud of.

It was relaxed and friendly and so much better. Everyone we spoke to was enjoying the completely different atmosphere. There was room to walk and stop and talk; there were no massive queues in restaurants, pubs and shops. Even having the craft stalls in the market worked.

The sailing yachts in the river were a delight, with the Tenacious, Royalist and Brixham trawlers making a wonderful backdrop to all the on-river events.

The stewards and their helpers were all friendly as usual and a great time was had by all. A job very well done.
