Totnes has a new shop and one that fits in to the town’s vibe.

Blossom & Sparkle was opened by Mayor Cllr Emily Price and is co-owned by partners Corrine Turner who has an online crystal business, her daughter Mya Ireson who does nail art and Tanya Mountney who has a poly-tunnel and grows flowers and is selling edible bunches and sources beautiful products.

Corrine said: “There’s something really nice about selling in person, meeting people and sharing what we love.

“If you sell on the website there’s nor a connection with people.

“I’m a massive crystal fan and into all things spiritual.

“Tanya loves to grow things and she’s never sold in a shop before and my daughter does nails so it’s going to be a collective, a little like a women’s corner.”

Corrine then described some of their stock:

“We’ve got a collective of around five different sellers who are all from the area.

“We’ve got felt creatures, period pads made using a solar-panelled sewing machine, some jewellery from a lady in Dawlish who sells on the market, candles made in Devon as well using fragrance oils.

“We want to give people a place to sell their items and we’re going to be making things as well.”

The aim is for the products to be fun, vibrant and creative.

They are tucked away at 16 Leechwell Road diagonally across the Rotherfold from the Bull Inn.

Corrine explained: “We are a destination and don’t expect to get much footfall.

“Come and see us and what we’re doing.
