IN A nip and tuck game in the Totnes Skittles League, Offcuts set Millers 54 to win which looked possible after Steve Robinson led off with a 16, sadly no one else could follow his example and they lost out by two.

Offcuts hit a four spare 5th end of 78 which got them back into the game and keeps them in the hunt for the league title.

TRFC got their second league win over Panthers, Dan Paul hit a 17 on the final end but couldn’t catch Chris Stacey who took top score with 86.

Wizzards were below par but were good enough to take down Woodpeckers, Chris Worth hit 3 spares on the spin in his 88. A 61-pin final end from Fords wasn’t enough to catch Wrecks who hit 60 and held onto a 3-pin lead.

Odd Westons 2-pin win over Alley Cats keeps them at the top, in a game with only five spares, Val Mcgalls’ 18 proving decisive.

All Stars hit eight spares and had three players with 80+ scores in their 315 total as they saw off Meadowbrooks. Emma Challis with 17 was the only Meadowbrook who made the scorer reach for their red pen!

Sonia Edwards, with a 2-spare 84, top scored, but it wasn’t enough to take the points from Gems for whom Di Davis also hit two in her 81. Spares from Outsiders Clare Good and Karan Vaughan in the final 2 ends took them into a match-winning lead against Fordetts.
